Overview
The Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra is a volunteer-driven ensemble competing in one of the Southeast’s most active performing arts markets, alongside organizations like the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Gwinnett Symphony. In August 2024, Charlotte joined as a volunteer Social Media Manager and Creative Director, taking full ownership of ACSO’s digital presence and brand across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, website, print, and merchandise.
Strategy
Charlotte developed and executed a comprehensive content and audience growth strategy focused on increasing community engagement, expanding brand awareness, and driving concert attendance. Since 2024, she has led content creation, social media management, and creative direction across digital platforms, implementing a cohesive visual identity and storytelling approach that highlights musicians, performances, and the orchestra's community impact.
Through consistent content production, targeted social campaigns, audience-focused messaging, and performance analysis, the strategy has strengthened the orchestra's online presence, broadened its reach to new audiences, and supported sustained growth in concert attendance and community participation. Charlotte, along with her team, have also collaborated with Georgia Tech and SCAD Atlanta students, adding creative depth and production capacity.
Impact
Across platforms, audiences report feeling more personally connected to the orchestra and its musicians—turning casual followers into invested community members excited for upcoming performances. The data reflects what the comments confirm: authentic, story-driven content is closing the gap between ACSO and its larger competitors.
